Am I a candidate for dental implants?

Accepted Answer

Candidacy for dental implants depends on your oral health, bone availability, medical history and treatment goals. Dr. Tulio evaluates clinical photagrahs, digital scans and CBCT imaging to determine the most appropiate traetment plan.

How many visits are required for full-mouth dental implants?

Accepted Answer

Most full-mouth implant treatments require two main visits. The first visit typically lasts 4-5 days and includes diagnostics records, surgery and fixed temporary restoration when clinically indicated. After approximately four months of healing, second vist is scheduled for the final digital records and delivery of the zirconia-titanium restoration. The exact schedule depends on each patient's clinical condition.

Can I receive temporary fixed teeth on the day of surgery?

In many full-mouth implant cases, a fixed temporary restoration can be delivered on the day of the surgery. Immediatenprovisionalization depends on implant stability, bone qualaty, the surgical procedure and the patient's clinical condition. Dr. Tulio confirms whether immediate loading is appropiate after completing the diagnosticevaluation and implant placement.

Can I receive dental implants if I have bone loss?

Accepted Answer

Bone loss does not automatically prevent dental implant treatment. A CBCT scan is used to evaluate the available  bone  and determine whether bone grafting, sinus augmentation or soft-tissue reconstruction may be necessary. Dr. Tulio develops an individualized surgigal and restorative plan based on the severity and location of the defect.

Is sedation available for dental implant  surgery?

Accepted Answer

Conscious sedation may be available for selected implant procedures and is administered by a certified anesthesiologist. Depending on the patient's medical history and planned treatment, a medical evaluation, electrocardiogram and laboratory test may be required before surgery. Sedations options are confirmed during treatment planning.

The cost of dental implant treatment depends on the number of implants, bone and soft-tissue recosntruction, type of temporary restoration and final prosthetic design. What information is needed for initial remote evaluation?

Accepted Answer

For initial remote evaluation, you may send recent dental x-rays or a CBCT scan if available, photograhs of your smile and teeth, a  brief medical history and a description of your main concerns. These records help us provide preliminary guidance, but the definitive diagnosis and treatment plan are  confirmed  during an in-person clinical evaluation.
